Digital-First Divorce Mediation
Barclay Devere provides structured, impartial divorce mediation for individuals across England and Wales, especially where separation involves complexity or financial risk.
Specifically, we work with clients who require clarity and suitability-led decision-making rather than open-ended discussion. To achieve this, we provide a regulated mediation process instead of simply deciding outcomes or replacing legal advice.
Our purpose
Barclay Devere exists to provide a regulated mediation process, not to decide outcomes or replace legal advice.
Our mediators support participants:
- to identify the issues that need to be resolved
- understand the mediation process and its limits
- explore options in a structured and controlled way
- reach their own informed decisions where mediation is appropriate
Professional standards
Barclay Devere operates within the regulatory framework of the Family Mediation Council (FMC) and adheres to the FMC Code of Practice.
As a result, all mediation services are delivered by mediators who are either FMC Accredited (FMCA), or Registered with the FMC and working toward FMCA accreditation.
Our mediators are members of a Family Mediation Council Member Organisation (MO) and are supported by Professional Practice Consultants (PPCs).
In addition to these standards, we hold appropriate Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain safeguarding policies and procedures, and comply with FMC complaints and disciplinary requirements.
Our place within the wider mediation framework
Barclay Devere forms part of a wider mediation framework.
While early-stage mediation, MIAM-only services, and mediation offered on a transparent hourly basis are provided through our umbrella service, Help2Mediate.
Barclay Devere is specifically reserved for cases where structure, disclosure, and procedural discipline are required. In this way, we ensure that our approach is always proportionate to the complexity of the landscape.
